My dealer had this installed on all the trucks because tailgates been stolen.
They don't show one for the 2015 F150.

This was a BIG problem on the pre-2015s 'cause they did not lock remotely. I had less risk with a remote locking hard tonneau cover but still put the clamps on the pivots to "slow someone down"....smile Craig's List had a high value on hot tailgates, especially those with cameras and insurance many times denied claims unless you could prove you locked the TG.

I actually also put a solenoid on my 2011 and 2013 to lock remotely with the rest of the vehicle....like the 2015s do now from the factory but face it, the locks mostly keep honest folks honest.

I feel much safer with my 2015 setup, but worth thinking about if you have an open bed.....only takes a thief about 30 secs to lift and leave!!

I found out today after 6 months of owning my Beast that in voice commands you say Navigation then say Show Map it will show the map on your center screen.
Also does anyone know if Travel Link is a US thing only. I have a Lariat that is a notch down from a Plat and there is nothing about it but I am Canadian and in a Canadian model. I know some of these features are for US customers only.

I notice that '15 F150 is not listed on the site. I went to look the part # but packing is gone. You could call them to confirm I do not see why it will not fit, it is adjustable.

Man, I love this thread! I'm a new member, and this is the first topic I've gone through start to finish...all 40-some pages! Great stuff.

Here's some of my insights to subjects contained within, and I'll leave my post with my favorite "trick" so far...

As far as the LED H/T-lights, I wish my XLT had them....the models those come on were to pricey for me. My wife drives a TLX with the LED headlights, and I must say, they are impressive! I was skeptical, as I've never really had an LED work light that I liked....the light always seemed weak, and kind of indirect. The LED's on the Acura's are amazing, I was totally on board. I'm assuming the F150 LED's are similar in performance, so yeah, I wish I had them. I wonder if you could swap the halogens with LED's, if the harness was the same? Prolly not... Once these start hitting the salvage yards after wrecks, might be able to pick up a set a little cheaper.

Really love the "secret" fob holder in the console! What a cool find. Great place to hide the key, when leaving it in the truck. Was also glad to see the driver side rear seat back folds, like the pass. side. I've already got a cable attached to the pin, so I can pull it with the seat bottom down, like the other side. There's a decent amount of storage back there.

Ok, my favorite "cool" feature so far....it's not really a trick or tip, but most cars/trucks I've had don't do this..... You can turn the fog lights on with only the parking lights! Makes the cr@ppy halogens look a little cooler, at least! Nice touch for the pre-dusk, or cloudy day lights. And oh yeah, those mirror spot lights are insane! I thought they might be kind of a waste, holy cow, was I wrong! Lights up like a freaking football field! I agree, it would be nice if they would work up to, say, 15 mph. If someone figures out how to bypass, please share!

Keep the ideas coming....

This thread explains how to do it. Pretty simple. Enjoy the new truck.

That so called secret spot for your keyfob is not a secret place to store a key all the time it's for programming a new key and if you Batts die in the remote you can place the key there and start the truck.

I myself would never ever leave a key in the holder.

I think he's referring to the spot in the center console under the rubber mat below the radio? It actually has an indention perfectly made for the key fob to sit in.

Sounds like you are referring to the spot next to the shifter under the little 1" wide mat that is used when the battery is out on the fob.

Not sure I only know about the one spot that is under a rubber mat a perfect sized spot to place a keyfob it also has RFID there so you can start the truck without batteries in the keyfob.

I also used this spot to program my extra keyfob that I bought on ebay.

This spot I would not leave a extra key in at all.
