Ford F-150 has the poorest headlights.

What are people doing to make them better and brighter without blinding others?

There are quite a few threads on this subject about the 2015+ F150 not having the greatest light output. Many forum members have put in hids to LEDs into the halogen housing. There are vendors on this forum site like 4x4truckleds that can help you with better lighting compared to halogen. Another option is as well is the 1st and 2gen anzos with the projectors. There is an actual thread on the anzos and many are happy with the quality and light output once upgraded to hids or LEDs in the projector housing. Some have even retrofitted the projector for better light output. And lastly the OEM's Led headlights that come from the higher trim f150's. If you got money to burn when in stock from Raptor Retrofit you can get a set with the harness for about $1800. Lots of info here and there. search is your friend and good luck!!

Do you think they aren't bright enough or is the article telling you they aren't bright enough? Mine are plenty bright for me. Not going to compete to have the brightest lights if I can see. Drive my 84 CJ7 at night and compare, my F150 is like driving in sunlight.

I do not think they're bright enough , but I do live in the city with street lights everywhere. The streetlights make it seem like my headlights are very very crappy.

I wouldn't need someone to tell me if my headlights aren't bright enough. Other vehicles usually like to flash their headlights at me, usually cars, and my truck is completely stock.

I was just wondering how others felt , maybe if I lived on dark country roads they'd feel brighter.
I'll go check out the other thread. Mods feel free to close this one if you'd like.

If you are in town and they are flashing their headlights at you, it is not because they are too dim, they are either off or not aimed properly.

Also, what do you have for a truck? By your name I would have guessed a 2010 but this post is in 2015+ and the article is about the current gen as well so I'm a bit confused.

I own a 2016 F-150. Do I have to change my name because the year of my truck changes?

My headlights turn on automatically, they're aimed where the factory aimed them.

I don't think they're bright enough either and I do live in the country with no street lights.

I may end up going with the Anzo's and LED's, but for now I did swap out my high beams with a brighter bulb. There is a thread on here somewhere with the info.

I read the other thread about slowing down , I guess I could slow down if I wasn't already doing 40-43mph in a 45.

When I go from a lit area with a bunch of street lights to a dark road with none , I can tell you without a doubt the headlights aren't that great.

I don't even turn the fog lights on , I guess I could give that a shot.

Maybe the older I get the cones and rods in my eyeballs just don't adjust as fast to light changes.

I dunno , since it's a lease truck it'll just be the way it is until it goes back.
