Current SYNC 3 and CarPlay/Android Auto Information
Yes that the one I have and after the software update CarPlay started. It was a little slow at first but has got better. I have had the usb hub in for 2 weeks waiting for the software update from Ford. Then I luck up and ran across these blog.
Does that have blue backlighting?
My update went fine but now I am having trouble with my sync voice commands. I used to just be able to say like "AM 1090" or "Sirius Howard Stern" and it would go right there pretty quickly but now if i say AM 1090 it goes to a different channel sometimes or when i say Sirius Howard stern it brings up a menu of 4 different channels and asks me to choose 1 and none of the choices are what I asked for so I have to hit cancel. Not liking this update.
I don't understand all the white vs blue worry on the hub lighting. Once you install the hub and plug in your usb cable do you really expect to notice the color that much? Are you going to stare at it and smile or are you going to stare at it and cry because it's the wrong color? Plug it in and close the access door. And then enjoy AA or CP, whatever you have.
I downloaded this today and wanted to contribute my little piece. Windows 7 and later has a built in utility to calculate hashes it is called certutil.
Here is an example of how to use it:
Open a command prompt and either type or paste
CertUtil -hashfile C:\Temp\v22NAV.zip SHA256

I did the 2.2 update yesterday, as well as installed the white light USB hub. Everything went off without a hitch and CP works. But I've since noticed an issue with the 2.2 update. Not an issue with what the OP provided, but with the software as Ford designed it. I have an iPhone running iOS 10. Since the update yesterday, Sync now automatically raises my phone ringer to max as soon as it connects. That creates a problem later when I'm out of my truck and my phone starts blasting the ringer at an inopportune time. It NEVER did this while on Sync 1.0. And I hate it. Wish there was a way to go back to 1.0. Having CP is not worth it to me.
I've read that others were having this same issue before 2.2, but not me. Seems the others have solved this by disabling the iPhone sounds setting where you adjust the ring volume with the side buttons. I did that too just to make it bearable, this this is a sloppy workaround, as it prevents me from using the side buttons to actually adjust the volume when I really want to (which is several times a day).
Is there a way to go back to 1.0? Contrary to others' experiences, it worked pretty flawless for me. I just got caught up in all this CP stuff. Kicking myself for it now.
