To keep things straight since there are so many topics in this thread - the product you are referring to here is "Remote Access" and is available as an aftermarket add on for trucks going back to '09 or so - maybe further, unsure. It was not a factory part and is not like the new Connect services available only on the '17's. It does not integrate with the Ford Pass application.

That is correct. It's not sync connect. But remote access, you can use the android or iPhone apps or web page to perform the functions. Also notifies you if the alarm goes off with a text an/or email alerts.

Default Thanks for the help from a computer (know nothing)

Alright, I believe success so far. I have download NoNav to my computer
(Window 7 system) and then unzipped to a FAT32 flash drive. Was there any
problems? Yes. When instructions said to unzip files to the Flash drive I
could not find anything that said (unzip). After much wasting time I found on right clicking an extract to flash drive. So, that is what I did. Appears to
be successful in moving the zipped files to the flashed drive unzipped. This is
my stopping point today. I hope this is correct. If not please let me know.

Also an example of how (computer dumb) some of us are.

Thanks for the info and help so far.

You have to unzip the two zip files that were inside the single zip file you downloaded. There should be a Readme file in the zip you downloaded. Read it.

Gotta love that Sunday service that the USPS provides!
They delivered my new hub and I have CarPlay up and running.

I was concerned that my USB extension cord would not be supported but all works great.

Thanks for the reply.

I did read the "read me.txt instructions. Instructions say, " Now... Using a windows based erase all files on the same usb drive then unzip upgrade file 2 to the root folder of the flash drive". I am following these instructions.

I have a question. I have and android phone, compatible and have AA downloaded. I have a 2016 KR, do I need this new USB hub or will the factory one work?

No, only CarPlay requires the new USB hub because it has a MFi chip. AA will run with only software upgrade.
