Go to settings and click on display. You can set it up night only, or even turn off the screen. You have to double tap the screen to get it back.

just wanting to be certain the links you provided a few pages back are good links? I downloaded the NAV version and just want to be sure it is not Chinese or European. You are saying you put the NAV version on a 2018 and all is good?

If you haven't yet run this, you should not. As mentioned previously, this is not a software set you want to install. If you do, you're going to be on your own for whatever issues you may run into. /End public service announcement for the week.

If I have Sync 3 / voice activated nav. / with WIFI enabled updates (2017 f150)... do I need to go through the physical route of updating (download software update onto USB, then use the USB port to download the software to the SYNC 3 system) or can I simply connect to WIFI and net the same result?

I'm new to Ford and this is by far the most "from the factory" technologically advanced vehicle I've owned, so I apologize in advance if my question is stupid.

I believe the update hasn't been officially released for you to download over WiFi. So if you want it now, you'd have to go the USB route.
