I wonder if the official Ford reps had a budget cut or something. Seem to have disappeared from everywhere.

 

I went to the owner.ford.com site and it says my Sync is up-to-date, however I'm on V2.2 build 16280 and it was mentioned the latest build is 17011. Does this mean my 2017 F150 shouldn't be updated to build 17011? I don't see an option to download it anywhere. Says my last update was Feb 25, 2017 which was when my truck was built.

I also checked while my truck was connected to Wi-Fi, but no update.

 

Has anyone have issues with 2.3 and the APIM locking up (nav freezes, voice commands stop, etc) to where you have to shutdown the truck, then do a master reset to get functions back?

 

TexasFording- Everyone on here seemed to jump right to 3.0. Where did you get 2.3? I want to upgrade from 2.0 but I'm more comfortable with jumping to 2.3 than 3.0 since that's what I'm seeing in production vehicles for 2018.

 

2.3 is shipping with 2018 cars now, has been for a couple of months. Got it off PTS

 

I got the pop up also but only till I got close enuff to my wifi and connected it and pop up went away.

 

OK. Was just wondering if there was a file floating around but it sounds like you updated directly through PTS. I knew it was coming on 2018's that's why I thought it was a safer update.

 

What is PTS?

 

It's the computer system Ford techs use to program vehicles at the dealer

 

upgraded to 3.0 last week and no issues so far. android auto definitely seems more responsive.
