Default auto start stop

i have the 2.7 eb with auto start stop, when I come to a stop the engine doesn't shut off, until I depress the brake more. Is this normal? do I have to break in the brake pedal?

Yes, the system uses the brake pedal to determine when to stop the engine. Several peoeple on here purposefully use a light foot on the break to keep the engine from stopping

I have noticed this too. But unless I am REALLY light in the brake - it shuts off. But for reference I am a bit of a physical freak so my light is an average humans hard.

Under certain circumstances it may not shut off... AC on hi or defrost on, certain accessories plugged in, on a steep grade or wheels turned at sharp angle, etc... or just not pressing brake pedal hard enough.

^ This. I have noticed that if you're light on the brake that it doesn't engage. However, you have to be really light, as in, almost light enough to have the car start rolling to keep it from engaging.

While hard on the brake, it doesn't engage for the scenarios mentioned above.

Yes I am fully aware that those things can turn the system off, but mine has only cut off one time that I can remember in the last month or so.

No heat no air condition wheels turn straight no trailer foot firmly on the brake pedal, motor keeps on running.

I disabled my seatbelt and notices that you need the seatbelt to be buckled for auto stop to work.

It can be really touchy. Like you're paying attention to make sure you're not actually moving super light touch. Even then, sometimes it turns off anyways. I stopped playing that game though and in the rare situation where I don't want it to shut off, I just hit the button. But that's only a few times a week if at all...

How long do you typically drive for? I know it also won't activate until the car is up to operating temperature too. Sometimes on my commute home it won't yet engage because the car isn't warmed up or hasn't been on long enough.

Also, do you blast the air on high? That too will prevent it from engaging.
