No I didn't request it, Originally that is what I was going to order from the other vendor, but I just used it as an excuse to buy & setup Forscan...So I deactivated the 2-lock honk and bought L, L, L

The horn honk when lock button pressed twice on fob can be disabled with FORScan with this setting in BCM:
726-38-02 xxx0 xxxx xxxx Car Finder disabled (horn will not honk when lock button pressed twice on fob)

Received and installed mine tonight, piece of cake and works as described! Another reason I love this forum....never would've known about this without it. Now my wife is begging me to find something like this for her new Rav4.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/262789441180

Just got this one in the mail and can't get it to work, lights are supposed to go green & Red then turn off. They flash orange.... needless to say truck won't start, I had made some changes with forscan including turning on remote start, I tried reverting the bcm back to factory settings and retried the install to no avail.

Left a message for the seller, obviously disappointed so far but we will see.

That's the exact link/item I bought as well and installed earlier tonight.

Did you include your vehicle info when you purchased it? Did you follow the instructions to a "T"? The orange light is the first light that is supposed to come on.

Hope you get it figured out.

So I read above if the hood is open it won't start. How does this plug in unit know the hood is open ? These is usually a switch under the hood for remote start kits.
Or does this kit just replace a factory remote start so you can use one key fob ?

Yes I believe I did, But it didn't work so maybe I messed up? The orange light came on, I turned the ignition on, and after some flashing it will either just blink Red twice to no end or flash orange. No response from the vendor yet.

Mine is not working so maybe I am not the best to answer your question... The truck already has the remote start programmed in, I think the module just translates Lock, Lock, Lock into a message that tells the truck to execute the remote start that it already knows how to do(Provided it is turned on with either the module or Forscan), So the truck knows to check for locked doors, hood & Doors closed..etc. prior to starting.

Hmm. It's very straightforward so provided you followed the same instructions I did maybe they just forgot to program it or something. I remember having to plug it inline w/ the OBDII port, then hold the button while plugging in the blue wire and then for another few seconds, then turn ignition on for 10seconds then off. Then push the LLL with everything closed. I don't recall looking to see what color the light was on mine as I had already ziptied it up under the dash.

Please keep us updated on what they do for you.

Also what year/model truck do you have?

Lastly, I had read, and you posted that the truck already has remote start, it just needs activated and a way to turn it on/off....does that mean if you activate it in Forscan you don't even need to buy this little module? You have me wondering now...

2015 F150 XLT, 301A , Flip keyed start, 5.0
He had me verify that it was all tight and setup correctly, Undid it all and redid it... He says that the light sequence I am getting indicates that it is not Picking up data from the vehicle.

I wonder if eventually someone will figure out a way with forscan that Lock, Lock, Lock would translate to start, but in the mean time no I do not believe there is a way to tell the truck to start without one of these devices. The vendor offered a refund but I just requested that they send a new device.
