He had me verify that it was all tight and setup correctly, Undid it all and redid it... He says that the light sequence I am getting indicates that it is not Picking up data from the vehicle.

I wonder if eventually someone will figure out a way with forscan that Lock, Lock, Lock would translate to start, but in the mean time no I do not believe there is a way to tell the truck to start without one of these devices. The vendor offered a refund but I just requested that they send a new device.
At least they sound like they're trying to resolve the issue in a timely manner, things happen so hopefully the next one works fine. Did you remember hearing both plugs 'click' when pushing them in? I remember it being very pronounced.

Yes the vendor has been impressively responsive, I am not disappointed except for the fact that I don't have remote start this weekend ha ha...

Yes they both definitely clicked! when I them I was kind of surprised instructions had to be stated the way they were? But nonetheless I don't like being "that" guy so I put some pliers on it and made sure it was snug and it will not get any more than it is already. I am thinking I just got the bad one

Just an fyi that I swear works for me, to extend the range of your key fob just hold it to the end of your jawline nearest your ear before using it. I know it sounds like BS but I have tested it when it seemed out of range and it works.

Thank you, I Just went out and tried that, Didn't work. The lights flash non-stop on the device so I think there is either a programming or wiring problem with it. I have tried it with the remote start system On, Off, Removed... No mater what the lights flash the same way and it won't start.

The vendor "Boostedxb" Says he dropped a new one in the mail this morning...So we will see how it works in couple days.

So do you have remote start already and this just replaces the extra keyfob ?
Or is this a complete remote system just using the software in the truck ?

I also purchased said remote start from eBay. I would say it works 50% of the time. Mostly when it's cold out it doesn't work, which is the only time I really need it lol. I have had times where it worked and I drove to the store then try it when leaving store and it doesn't work.
Unhappy would be an understatement and seller just says to reset it, which I have done numerous times with no effect .
Has anyone else had similar problems with theirs?

had a friend turn it on with his ford computer - prob can be turned on using ford scan - very easy and no wire cutting.
what year is your truck?
