not sure if this was already mentioned but "warm car now" has a plug and play kit that uses the stock OEM fob... it uses a key pattern to start the truck.

The vendor "Boostedxb" Says he dropped a new one in the mail this morning...So we will see how it works in couple days.

Unhappy would be an understatement and seller just says to reset it, which I have done numerous times with no effect .
Has anyone else had similar problems with theirs?
Mine would set off all of the warning lights. Did a inspection of all connectors and found one pin that was loose. It would back out just enough to be intermittent. Rebent the lock tab and it seems ok.

Just an update on my ebay plug in remote I bought last year (check my earlier posts on this thread).

Yesterday, after I remote started it, the truck started to behave strangely. Most of the buttons on the dash didn't work except for the radio, no ac or heat, front windows wouldn't work and air bag light came on. I thought maybe one of the modules bit the dust. But after trying to diagnose (no codes, oddly enough), I decided to start yanking all the extra stuff I added, starting with the remote start unit. As soon as I pulled it, everything went back to normal. Whew.

So it looks like the unit bit the dust. I sent the original seller an email about returning it, I don't really trust this one anymore. We'll see what he says. I have no idea what the warranty is if any. The unit is less than 11 months old.

So my next option is to see if I can use forscan to enable remote start and make it work with the 4 button remote. I heard the 4 button remote uses a different frequency than the 3 button remote. That would suck.

I bought this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2015-2016-FO...72.m2749.l2649

It works exactly as advertised. Completely plug and play. Adds remote start to the menu when plugged in and everything. Works 100% of the time. I ended up turning off the horn honk when you press the lock button on the FOB twice, but it was totally plug and play. Stock FOBs. I know it sounds too good to be true, but it's true.

Yup that one looks just like the one I bought. Worked fine for 11 months then crippled my truck until I removed it.

Still no word from the seller. His ebay name is imper_jo but he may be running under a different name now. If I don't hear back from him my only recourse is a negative review.

Buyer beware!
