For people interested, I'll be starting a separate thread for another module I'm going to be working on for accessory control with a keyfob. I just bought a 1 mile Viper 2-way setup that has 4 auxiliary controls on it and I'm going to be working on a generic CAN module that can be pre-programmed to turn things on/off with input signals (i.e. turn on bed lights, full A/C, full heat, open windows, open sun roof, etc). I probably won't start that until Christmas since I want to get this one done first.
Did you complete this project? I am interested in the module.

Question Control Module

Did the heated seats control module fix get completed?
fix for the upgraded Auto Climate Control Bezel from Manual Control loses heated seats functionality.

the guy above made some harnesses for a few of us. It wasn’t cheap but it’s all stock parts and it works. I’m really happy with it.

Another satisfied customer of @mdmay62 . Harness was built and shipped fairly quickly for the work that it took to make. Made well, clear instructions, and the best part - it works. I originally purchased a used seat module off ebay which said it was compatible, but it did not work. Got a brand new module from dealer and it works perfect.
Special note - many dealers will do price matching. So call your local parts dept and ask, and show them the price from Tasca or others. Worked for me, saved me shipping costs and I got it next day.
Thanks!

Question - does anyone know if you can get replacement button covers for the FCIMs? I've got an extra lariat model missing the fan buttons. Was hoping to fix that up and sell it for someone else to use.

edit: @mdmay62 , do you know what the different bits do in the SCME? Curious what can be done in Forscan with this. Its not on the spreadsheet.

@bhamilton that is great to hear a different module fixed it! Thank you for the review! Did you have the right part number or was it another one that wasn't working?

The module is also used for cooled seats so the other lines you see on forscan are for controlling the blowers in the seats.

I actually took mine and reprogrammed it to the stock programming and built a prototype heated/cooled seat harness to install in my truck to get the bezel to be pretty much fully functional.

So for anyone interested I have upgraded my XLT from just the heated seats with the autoclimate to heated/cooled seats with a prototype harness I built, cushions from an eBay seller and a mix of new blowers from different places. Threw some perforated katskinz covers on and am just waiting for the cooled seat fix from seatguru to do the final wrap up. Heated seats work great still and the short trial of cooled worked well as well. I can't wait for summer to give the cooling a real test.

All the blowers layed out waiting for install.

Pre-install testing of blowers and harness (cooling)

Pre-install testing of blowers and harness (cooling)

Passenger seatback blower installed.

Seatback blower installed with harness plugged in.

Passenger cushion blower installed.

Going all in on this harness install, ran under the carpet to the console and everything.

Front katskinz with heated/cooling

Katskinz completed

I might be all-in on this myself. Can this be done without swapping the bezel? I am really just looking to get cooled seats even if they can just be turned on via APIM. Would you be willing to provide a breakout of parts...

- four blowers
- two seat modules
- your harness
- katzkins

??

This is looking promising towards the only feature that I really wish my XLT had had.

That is an interesting question about being able to do it without the bezel. I want to say that it needs the FCIM to send the correct signal through the MS BUS to the SCME.

Your part list is pretty close. You only need 1 seat module and you need lariat seat foam because they have air channels built in to blow the warm/cooled air through the seat. You could use katskinz or oem leather as well it just has to be perforated
