Got mine replaced with a new camera on Monday. This was on order for at least 6-7 weeks. Works fine now. BUT now the tailgate latch won't work. I hear it unlocking when I trigger the fob (you know the Clunk when the tailgate unlocks). But despite that, the tailgate handle "feels" like its still locked. It just lifts up without unlatching the tailgate.

The work order indicates that they took the tailgate handle off when they replaced the camera. They service desk said something must have been reconnected wrong. Its been really hot here (90 plus) and I've read of other people having trouble with the tailgate handle in the heat. So hopefully its not that.

Taking it in Thursday to get that looked at. I'm getting a little tired of this. Even though its "just" an XLT, its still a brand new almost 40K vehicle and Ford has made about a bajilliion F150s. As much as I love driving it, little things like this are driving me crazy.

Also, after telling me to just "slam" the glovebox, I told them I knew that there was a TSB because the gloveboxes weren't closing properly and they got the parts and fixed that. Still doesn't look perfect, but at least it latches upon closing and doesn't hang down on the one side.

I'm not slamming the service department at least not totally. They are responsive and don't argue with me that nothing is wrong with the vehicle or that its "within spec". I've had that happen before. I drove my Ranger for over 200,000 miles with it pulling to the right the whole time. The service guy (different dealer) told me it was just following the crown of the road, so I pulled into the opposite lane and it still wandered all the way over into the right ditch. He admitted that was a problem, but they never did figure it out.

Got a call yesterday that my camera is in. I have an appointment on Tuesday to get it replaced. It was ordered on 6-20 and took until 8-10 to come in. Guess I will make sure my tailgate locks and unlocks before I leave. I am having the same issue with the glove box I keep reaching over thinking its not closed tightly. I was unaware of the TSB for this issue, anyone have the TSB number handy or is there a thread on this?

Thanks WB

I've had my 2020 STX SCAB for about a month. Rear camera has been flaky since day one. Dealer has new camera on order. No ETA.

I've had my 2020 XLT 302A for 48hrs and the rear camera just went wonky today. A friend had the same issue and it was only corrected by replacing the head unit. Something about imagine processing model-APIM "B"

I'll call the dealer tomorrow and see whats up. With it being such an issue you'd think a TSB would have been put out by now.

After a 2 month wait I had the new camera put in yesterday. Image wise the camera is not as good as the one it replaced (when it worked). The image doesn't seem as clear and items you see in the picture seem to be stretched or elongated. The close up (trailer hitch) view seemed fine.

I did take it through the touch-less car wash yesterday and it did work after so that's a plus.

Overall I am a bit disappointed by this whole ordeal, you buy a new truck things don't work correctly and then after a 2 month wait the image on the camera is worse than the one you had that worked intermittently. Hope others have better luck.

I took mine in on Monday for front camera, they agreed to replace them both as they have seen a lot. Of course the cameras are on back order. They say due in by 8/28. But we will see.

That's promising. My dealer had no ETA last week.

My front camera seems to get worse as time goes on. Originally it only acted up sometimes, but now it's probably 50% of the time. Rear one is usually okay, just sometimes gets really dark. They're replacing both.

It's been a few weeks since I took mine in and they told me they were ordering me a new camera and would call me when it arrived. I still haven't heard a peep from them.
