2020 camera issue tracking thread.
Ha I was waiting for a thread like this after my dealership told me I was the 6th one to come in about camera issues that week and it was only Wednesday. My rear camera started to do everything that everyone has described and of course in the middle of moving when I was hooking up a trailer regularly. Mine took maybe 2 weeks to get the new one in and got it put in Monday and everything has been working good so far.
Here's a head scratcher. Mine (2020 SCREW XLT, 302A, 2.7, BUILT 02/20) acted as described in the early posts, dark screen, striped screen, for the first few weeks of ownership. Took it in, they said they did not even need to diagnose and would put me on the list. The last couple weeks it has worked flawlessly, and I did nothing to it. I looked at removing the tailgate connector, but could not get the plasic clip to release. As it is under warranty, decided to leave it alone. I am still waiting to hear from the stealership about camera availability. I guess I will take it in when notified, and tell them it is an intermittent problem.

Same would happen to mine. It would quit working for a week then work for a few days I took the plug off cleaned it and plugged it back in and would do the same thing. Before I took it in to get it replaced it had been working 9/10 times but the one time it wouldn't work is when I actually needed it
Got my truck back from second trip to the dealer. They had to do the full factory recalibration procedure which is quite extensive! When they replaced my rear camera they did the shorter quick calibration procedure but for some reason mine did not take. The full recal requires these long calibration templates, must be done indoors (no sun) on a level surface, and takes over an hour to do. They kept the truck overnight so they could do this in the service lane pull through early in the morning when noone was around. They took a photo to show me. Everything works perfectly now. Pretty neat.
