My wife’s 2020 Explorer rear view camera went blue this last week. I spoke to the warranty advisor at my local dealer today and she told me she would get one on order and add me to the list....apparently they have over forty 2020 F150/Expeditions and Explorers waiting for replacement cameras...

 

My front camera is not working properly. Very faint to dark. I’m disappointed, I just took it to the dealer for key detection issues. Now waiting to go back for the camera. A month and a half old.

yes they replaced the camera

 

Mine too. Haven't visited the dealer yet. It's weird, sometimes I'll go into the store and come back and it's fine. Sometimes it persists throughout the whole day. Sometimes it won't act up for a week.

 

My XLT also has an intermittent backup camera flickering or going dark. But it works most of the time. Dealer said it's shorting and there's a national backorder for replacement cams. I'm on the list for later this month. Dealer said they had like 28 F-150s on backorder with the same problem.

 

Where is this harness and how do we get to it?

 

To those that are thinking that unplug / re-plug / grease / clean is the solution. Wait till it rains.
There's a batch of bad camera's no new theories required.

Not sure if this is helpful to anyone or not but i just picked up my brand new F150 yesterday. Upon picking it up the dealer said "Just to let you know there is a problem with the back cameras on some of the 2020's. We have a new one on order for you and will call you when it is in and install it for you"

My camera is working but they are going to replace it. Is this a recall?
