2016 Tracking Thread
I haven't had any luck getting one of those $1k rebates. I requested a brochure sent to my house, I had a brochure emailed to me, and I created an account on the ford owner website. Am I missing a step somewhere? My truck should be delivered in the next week or two so I would like to get a rebate ASAP.
Some packages come with the E-locker. If you ordered such a package (like FX4) where the E-locker is included, ETIS will show LESS locking differential, however since it is part of a package you do get it!
I hear decals should peel right off.. may need a little heat.... I'll be taking mine off... will let you know!
I will request that Ford delete the "Sport" stickers from my build.
If they claim that not doing something requested by the customer is impossible, hopefully the dealer will oblige.
Honestly- I think it's a bit of a stretch for Ford to believe that their customers who order a $50k - $60k truck, configured with most or all of the refinements they offer, would universally want stickers plastered to the sides of their vehicles. Why do customers who prefer a black grill and running boards have to be subjected to "Sport" stickers?
What's so "Sporty" about these options? Shouldn't "Sport" options enable the truck to do something within the realm of performance? So far as I can determine, Ford's "Sport" options don't do much of anything other than change bits and pieces from 1 finish to another; typically from chromed plastic to black plastic or chromed metal to painted metal
LARIAT Sport Appearance Package Includes:
• 18-inch Six-Spoke Machined-Aluminum wheels with magnetic painted pockets - A little black paint makes the wheels sportier?
• Accent-color front bumper with body-color end caps; body-color rear bumper
• Accent-color angular step bars - Black vs chrome makes the step bars sportier?
• Accent-color three-bar style grille with accent-color surround and black mesh - Black vs chrome makes the grill sportier?
• Box side decal - Well, I guess if the sticker spells Sport, the truck must be sportier by definition
• Bucket seats with Flow-through Console and floor shifter - Pretty much every Lariat they sell is similarly configured
• Chrome single-tip exhaust - Chrome? That's sportier?
• Unique interior finish - Black plastic vs wood grained plastic makes the door panels sportier?
