2016 Tracking Thread
I just called and got an update. My build date was yesterday and my truck has moved into "awaiting shipment" status, so that tells me she got built yesterday. No fuel tank or tail light delays.
I suspect Ford orders the parts for the trucks under some sort of "just in time" supply set up. I think that is why they are so strict on changes once the VIN is issued. The parts for the truck likely set aside in the system at that time. This is all just a guess on my part, I'm just glad my truck slipped in before any delays.

[ding] next in line please!
lol, hope they iron this out for ya. I've just been getting info online (etis, vin lookup, etc) and occasional note from my dealer.
Cheers
I think a ranger with the 3.5eb would be a "shut up and take my money" kind of situation.
Does anyone know how long it normally takes for a truck to get from Dearborn to St. Louis? My truck got built yesterday 3/29. No bed liner. Ford service originally told me est delivery date was 4/24. That seems long a long time to get here.
Ended up calling to see if I could get any new information about my truck. Called the main customer service line so they might just have less information. The only information they had about my truck is that it is now expected to be delivered May 12, they did not have a build date to give me but I take it it is no longer April 4th. My dealership told me that it should be here by mid April so pretty sad. Probably the 36ga tank holding me up.
Could not find any information about my build or order other than that, which was disappointing. I asked about the window sticker thing and they told me that they don't think it is possible to get a window sticker or copy until after you buy the vehicle.

Well boys, I just heard from my dealer that he confirmed that my truck was built yesterday and is sitting on the lot in Detroit awaiting shipment. We are doing the financials Friday to beat the A/Z conquest plan extension deadline on the 4th. I'm signing off this thread and wish you guys luck with your purchase.

What's your truck spec and where is it being made? My date is 04/04 out of Dearborn and I have 36GAL. There are a few options that seem to push your date out.. MAX TOW and Heavy Payload from what I have seen are a big reason for delays.
Didn't go with a lot of features on mine. 4x2 with tow package, 101a, tow mirrors, fogs, side steps, running boards, and the 36ga. Kansas City. Wondering if the supercab / 8ft bed is holding it up.
After awaiting for my new 2015, then 2016 F150 heavy duty payload SuperCrew to get built, with my 2015 order being cancelled by Ford, then the 2016 being delayed to (supposedly) late second quarter, and my customer satisfaction $2,000 incentive for the cancelled order expiring April 4th....I gave up. I had a new truck ordered for 393 days with no build date in sight. I purchased a certified used 2014 F150 heavy duty payload package SuperCrew XLT 3.5 EcoBoost yesterday. It has less than 9,000 miles, with Truxedo tonneau, Ford remote start, stainless steel wheel-well trim, window vent covers, mud guards, bed liner, hood stone guard, chrome exhaust tip all added. I had to drive 5 hours one way to get it. It feels great to give up the wait.
