Default powersteering quick question.

Is the line that hoops down through the crossmember(like a cooling area) high pressure or the low pressure side?

The low pressure side is the one with the hose that clamps to the pump, the high pressure screws in.
I think the low pressure has the cooler.

OK so my screw in line is the one that leaks but it also wraps around in the crossmember

this is the low pressure side/return line-cooler. it screws into the steering box on one end and then hose clamps to a rubber hose on the other, and the rubber hose runs back to the power steering reservoir/pump.

Yup, that's it there. My new one comes in tomorrow morning. Since the hoops and winding makes sort of a cooling system, would it affect the cooling if I painted it?

if you've got the funds have at it. i would try to find a used pump from a salvage yard with low miles on it before i bought a rejunk(reman.) one.

Wondering how much better it would work if you get a universal power steering cooler and attach them to the line on the cross member.
