So I put in everything for the timing advance...except I thought the marks were good enough to see with the timing light....no... so now I just turned it very very slowly until I could here it sort of chug/sputter/ping and back it off until it stopped then just a bit more.

Need to find something to make the marks more visible or get some timing tape so I can do it right.

I didnt read much here but im thinking of doing a variation on the gotts mod for these trucks. I want to cut about a 1-1.5" hole in the fender well and the airbox, cover the inlet with some screen and seal it. I think it would do everything needed. Cold air, more air, not much of a risk of water getting sucked inti the engine as there is with putting extra intakes up front.

My truck is my daily driver for atleast the next year so I don't want to cut anything up yet. Once I'm back home I'll be tearing the truck down and rebuilding it from the ground up for mudding/off roading. Im not too worried about the intake right now either, it does its job just fine how it is.

Once I'm back home I'll have nothing but time for a few months before I settle into a civilian job. So, I'll be working on my trucks, cars, and bike.

I like how eveything you mentioned is plural too. I want to make my truck into an offroad beast. But i dont want to make it a beater like a lot of people do.

Why damn? I have four vehicles, it's not that uncommon. I don't like motorcycles or I'd probably have one of those too.
