Default finally.

Getting the stuff together for the infamous timing bump. Got the plugs and wires. Forgot to find the part numbers for the cap/rotor kit and ignition coil. Ill bring them to autozone tomorrow. On a side note. Does anyone know/recommend a specific oil for the front and rear differentials and the transfer case for a 92 F150 4x4. I think the rear is the ford 8.8 open if im not mistaken, if it makes a difference. The transfer is the push button/electric one.

Its cool. I asked the clerk guy and he looked it up, all it said was "rear differential fluid" for the rear diff under the type. Haynes didn't help much either.

I run 80/90 in my rear diff. But if you have a limited slip you'd want some kind of friction modifier. But you shouldn't need to worry about that if its non-l.s.

For the coil I went with an msd blaster coil, and there was a small parts supplier down the road from me that had a cap with brass contacts, autozone didn't carry one for me. I've heard napa has brass ones also.

Yeah autozone would have to order mine from them. Gonna look around again after work. If I can get the cap/rotor kit and coil I can do this "upgrade" tonight or this weekend.

I wouldn't put upgrade in quotations. It definitely was an upgrade for me. I got my coil from a local performance shop. You may have better luck from a performance place if you have one around.

I've seen it put as upgrade, mod, adjustment, and some others. To me its just a chance for me to spoil my baby.
