I havent taken the metal casing off yet. I plan on doing it today. I want to just swap it out with a "known" good computer to see if that is the problem! lol. I can find one pulled out of a F-150 for 90 bucks. Would you guys do that or get the one I have rebuilt?
All the same. Yes I would go w/ a used. Usually a 30 warranty.

Let's hope. Labor savings alone will cover cost of parts. My neck of the woods, average is $75/ hr. By the way, did I forget to give you my Pay Pal account info? (Bahahaha)

If any fuses were causing this, it would be the ones under the hood right??? Im gonna open the casing to my ECM when I get home later tonight.

Another question.......lol Could all this be happening due to a bad ICM or the ignition coil as well?

Huh...what...oh...it's you!

Don't know what else to tell you. There is a spay application "Radioshack" sells. You start the truck w/ the ECU plugged in & cover off. It produces a frost on the circuit board. Anywhere on the board that the circuitry is "dead" will remain frosted. The frost will disappear one all the live circuits. The will tell you if you have any broken, or cold solder joints on the board & specifically where they are.

Like I mentioned before, we are at a disadvantage not being able to deal w/ it in person.

I can't guarantee it's the ECU but...also it my experience w/ buying boneyard used ECU's, I was allowed to return it w/ in 30 day's if it didn't work. They don't bench check them so they expect returns.

Some will refund. So will give you credit towards future purchases.

definetly gonna try this!!!!! So basically if it is a good ecm, the frost should be none existant on the Circuit board when the truck is running.
