I have the 332-AA might return it for the 006-AA.... just to see if it’ll work.

I do have an appointment tomorrow with the Ford dealer to flash my computer. See what they can do.

Looks like you can search by Vin # on that site.

Searching using a VIN that didn't have a TBC installed eould likely show neither of them fitting as it didn't come factory.

According to this thread both controllers are the same, the more expensive one just comes with fuses if the truck is lacking them.

I also suggest using an OEM one. Even in previous gens I saw threads where OE TBC had issues.

ive tried the way the video said by just enabling the 1 option. I have all the fuses and relays for towing. Just my previous trailers never had brakes.

I see the gain on my cluster and am able to increase it. But the trailer brake doesn’t engage even when using the slider.

I get a pop up no trailer connected...

any ideas?
Has it been determined that all three need to be enabled? I'm still working on my install after learning I did not have Fuse 24. Found the proper MCASE 30A fuse and installed it so I'm ready to go back to forscan again. I have the same 3 Trailer Brake options on my 2020. Should all 3 be enabled?

I had several dtc's after first trying to install with all 3 enabled and no fuse. So now I've added the fuse, enabled the first two, and cleared the dtc's. After a restart I rechecked and still have no dtc's and when I press + or - I get gain adjustment. When I squeeze the fingers I get a no trailer connected message. I am using an OEM Ford unit (Mexico) p/n JL3Z-2C006-AA. So I think it's working with:
Trailer Brake Control Module - enabled
Trailer Brake Controller Gain - enabled
Trailer Brake Module - disabled.
I would like to get a definitive answer if Trailer Brake Module should be enabled or disabled?

Still no faults with just the first two brake control options enabled. No trailer either so I haven't been able to verify if it's working correctly without Trailer Brake Module (TBM) enabled. Maybe TBM is part of the MaxTowing option?

Max Tow doesn't factor into this. Whether you've got Max Tow or a 53A with ITBC add-on, all the same modules are used and must be enabled.

Trailer Brake Module (I believe) enables the TRM module, which controls turn/stop lights and 12v aux for the 7-pin (4-pin comes from the BJB). The TRM module is left of and above the brake pedal. Trucks that do not have a 7-pin do not get a TRM module.

All 3 trailer brake settings were disabled by default from the factory and my truck came with the factory class 4 hitch and 7-pin plus 4-pin wiring, but no max tow or brake controller.
