I think when there's so much money involved with the cost of all these toys, people have a hard time accepting the fact that they may have made a mistake that needs correcting,

This is the absolute truth, people do the same thing with expensive aftermarket parts they buy for there trucks that do absolutely nothing.

Very true, but that is entirely dependent upon the individual person's goals.

Most mods are good for visual 'enhancement' but if that's what they want, then it's not a waste. So long as they don't expect 100hp and/or +10mpg from a cat-back exhaust and CAI

Or expect an aftermarket CAI to be any better than the factory one.

I joined the "Half Ton Haulers" page on facebook just for kicks. I'm amazed at how negligent people can be. It literally feels like a junior high locker room with boys egging each other on to see who can do the dumbest thing and be "cool".

I witnessed a Tundra yesterday with probably a 38' TT behind it. He had WDH but the *** was still dragging. Luckily he turned the opposite way than I was going.

In the winter, the snow mobilers heading into the national forest right here barely have weight on their front tires as they come rolling through town. They are driving on crappy snow covered roads. I really cannot believe these guys don't imitate the Dukes of Hazzard more often.

those guys don't think for a second that maybe even with WDH that sag is bad, they just get helper springs or airbags because cosmetics are all that matter.

RV Group I admin, just last night, guy with a ram and rear coils bragging about how a $279 mod took saggy *** out of his truck, posts hitched up to a 25' TT with no WDH on it.
My first response was "Why do we not see a WDH?"
A ram with probably 1400-1500lbs payload thanks to those rear coil springs, and now he's got 1000lbs of tongue weight right on the back axle too, haha. idiots.

A couple hours ago there is a guy who is mad and cursing me because I told him his F150 should not be towing 13,200 pounds. Refuses to post a photo of his payload sticker. Will not listen to reason. Threatened to whoop me LOL.

Yeah, one of my friends was boasting about his new 3/4 ton Ram, but when I asked about the payload sticker "it doesn't have one"...but the book says "max. payload 3987+ lbs" lmao with a GVWR of 8565lbs!!!!! So I guess the curb weight is only 4500# for a 4-door, 4wd, loaded 3/4 ton gas Ram
