Thanks Mike. I was looking at this one and the P3. Watching this video, everything seems pretty straight forward.

i would deff go OEM. it is intergrated w/ the truck and they brake as a unit w/ sway controls built in vs an aftermarket BC. I got the "dorman" version of BC < i think dorman makes the ford OEM but its $$ cheaper and works just the same. I also went the "forscan" route as that has enabled my to get remote start, trailer brake, bambi mod all WITH OUT going to the dealer!

if you're going to install it yourself, no reason not to go with the oem ITBC for not a whole lot of dollars more.

apologies, i have a 2011, but the 15-19 OEM TBC are cheaper whether it be dorman or ford oem.

but you'll need
-the oem or dorman tbc that plugs direct into the plug behind the dash (NOT AFTERMARKET):

< i have this unit for my model year

-also you'll need to download and read the sticky for "forscan software" < if you dont want to dink with ur ECU then dealer can flash it to work for free-$100 dept on dealer.

- if you go forscan you'll need a ODB2 to usb cord :
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01F0GVBWY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01F0GVBWY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
to connect to the truck
thats about it. i think it'll work the same for a 15-19 vs a 11-14 as far as forscan goes.

PSS: if you go OEM its a part of the dash and integrates seamlessly, if aftermarket itll stick below the dash as the P3 does

Thanks guys. This is some really great info.

I did notice, my dash doesn't seem to have a integrated place for the oem controller. Shouldn't it have a provision for the B/C ?

Do you not have the "cubby hole" to the LH side of the radio/climate controls as shown in the following video?:

I'm still asleep, nevermind.

For some stupid reason I had it in my head this morning that it would go on the gray portion of the dash just left of the actual location. I need to go back to sleep!

A little late, but are you just looking for the OEM IBC? Your dealer wants $350? Fairway has it for 88.
