Default Another basic magnetic build : update 4/11/21

So last week I picked up a 2020 magnetic 2.7EB. I came from a Toyota Tacoma and loved my little truck, just needed something a little bigger.

I’m not doing anything to crazy to this truck as it’s my DD/Boat tow pig but I can’t leave anything alone.

This was the blurry website picture of her when I was at the dealership looking at a white STX

This was the first night I got it home

First thing I did was tint the windows. South Florida is hot.

Original plans were to do 5100s at 1.75 and RTR Tech 6 wheels in charcoal. I still may do the 5100s but for now I think I am going to just remove the rear block and do a reverse level. I ordered the wheels last week and they showed up today.

Im going to run the stock tires for the meantime. Give it some time to see if I want it leveled up or different tires in the long run.

Future things I’d like to do include

Gator Evo tonneau cover and some sort of toolbox in the bed.
Bed Rug
Upgrade the speakers Inside and add some sort of subwoofer system. Haven’t decided if I want (1) 10”, (2) 8” or even a couple 6.5” subs.

Tomorrow I will have the new wheels swapped on and remove the rear block.

Congrats on your F-150 and welcome to the forum.
The new wheels should look good on there. Make sure you post some pictures for us.

Thank you! Here’s what I got done today.

Had the tires mounted (black walls out, thank god) on the new wheels. This first picture is terrible, I know, because, well, it is.

Then I drove home and pulled the blocks out of the rear.

I am very happy with how it turned out. The wheels fill the fender well up perfectly for my liking and I didn’t have to level it. They are 18x9 +18 RTR Tech 6 wheels. The charcoal wheels were for sale on BBwheels for $169, which is $100 per wheel cheaper than RTR directly. I don’t know if this was a typo or misprint, but here they are.

Now I will focus on a tonneau cover, badges and some sort of stereo upgrade.

Thank you for the compliment!

They are my favorite as well, I just wish they were a little wide and filled the wheel well up. I almost put spacers on the truck but couldn’t do it. Positive side to the new wheels is they weight the same as the stock sport wheels and they are 18x9 wide!

Time will take care of that tire... you'll have time to think about what you want while you wear those out. Trust me, you'll find something else ot spend the money on in the mean time. Looking good!

Those wheels fit the truck nicely, much better than black. Ford has a couple OEM wheels that look good, but those RTR's are about the only aftermarket I'd spend the money on.

Yeah, I will eventually. But I want components and a sub first. And a good tonneau cover, bedrug. I’ll probably still put 5100s on this truck because they made my tacoma ride a lot better but I’ll only set them at the .85 setting or whatever it is.

It gives me time to decide what I want, too.

Thank you! I was going to get the black RTR wheels but they were $100 more per wheel. I’m kinda glad it turned out like it did. It’s different and looks good. The RTR weight is really what sold me.
