Default First hand witness of Eco problems

Not trying to stir the pot, just reporting facts from this morning.

Have been in Port Aransas for the last several days, fishing and hanging on the beach. This morning it was time to pack up and head home. Driving south on 361, was behind a great looking red F150, and he was behind guy towing a travel trailer. All of us going 50 in a 60 mph stretch of highway. I see him put his blinker on, then start to swing out. Just as he started look like he was accelerating about halfway over, he quickly swung back over and slowed way to 40, threw on the flashers then off on the shoulder, where he continued to slow down. This was just about four miles south of Mustang Island State Park, or about 25 minutes south of Port Aransas. Humid, damp morning.

Anyway, I pulled into the Stripes at the corner of SPID, and 361, to let the wife fill up her Rodeo, and so all the girls could get drinks, and breakfast tacos. I sat in my truck with the dog keeping the AC going, and after a few minutes, see him pulling into the parking lot. I then noticed the license plate off to one side, and realized I has just witnesses the Echo CAC issue. Felt bad for the guy.

Having family with me and driving directly behind me, no way would take that kind of risk. Who drives around with a video camera or camera in their hands anyway?

Seriously, it happened, I saw it, and am glad that guy was able to safely get back over and off to the side of the road. You should have seen that guys face when I passed him. His face when he got down the road to the gas station, he just looked angry and stressed out.

Now a bunch of folks are going to post calling you a liar, tell you how great EB is, deny the EB has any issues, state how great the EB is etc.
Thanks for sharing! I hope these EB issues get fixed, it is a good motor and I think a resolution will ultimately be found.

Just be ready for the onslaught.

Not true. I do believe some EcoBoost owners have had issues. I'm on my second with none.

I just don't believe it is the huge issue a small percentage on this site like to make others believe it is.

The bottom line is that every vehicle ever made has had some type of issue. If you can find one that hasn't, please let me know.

Nope, had it a couple of times after a few months of ownership, then again while towing heavy in 100% humidity. So 4 times in 40,000 miles and plan to keep it for another 100,000 or more.
