Default Tire balancing, once a year? not at all?

I've talked to a few people that mentioned they balance their tires once or sometimes twice a year. Usually it's when they change over from winters to summers and vise versa. They just get them re-balanced when putting them back on, usually just because. I don't run winters I just have my Amp tires on all year.
Do any of you re-balance them throughout the year? I was debating on rebalancing my tires with a tire rotation simply because I haven't thought about a balance since they were installed a year ago. Maybe it's not necessary but just curious what you guys do or don't do.

If I notice any vibration at speed or unusual tire wear at rotation, (IE cupping) I'll get them balanced otherwise never after the first time.

Same. I had the OEM wheels for 5 years without any balancing required. Snow tires for 4 years so far without needing to be rebalanced. Just got new tires and had to have them rebalanced in the first month due to vibration at highway speeds.

^This! Don't try to fix a non-existent problem.

that’s your opinion, it works for me and it is free. Also, I change oil and filter every 5k. You do you, I’ll do me!

Since I bought my Michelins at Costco, rotations are free for the life of the tire. They rebalance at every rotation.

Unless something changes, there is no need to re-balance..
