Given the random nature of some of the issues, not to mention there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why one truck will have issues, and then another one won't, I think Ford's engineers are doing just fine.

I'm sure one of the big problems they have is getting their hands on a truck that has been completely problem free for 20-30k miles to compare to one that has had issues since day one, and getting them side by side to tear down (that's probably the biggest impediment right there) to really get at the heart of the problem.

After having met and dealt with a Ford "engineer"' and I use that term VERY loosely, I would be willing to bet that they (the engineers) learned more about the condensation issue by reading this and other forums and the input and real life experience some of the gear heads have on here. They can sit in front of a white board and theorize all day long, but I would put my stock in the guys that have been there and done that and have the busted knuckles to prove it, one such sample being the upgraded inter coolers from Full Race and the Wagner IC.

I ended up not doing plugs again. To be honest it feels a little bit better again, but still feels weak to me. I haven't noticed a miss up hill or on acceleration since doing plugs a couple weeks ago. Supposed to get close to 50 next week which will be the warmest its been since November, gonna see how it runs in the warmer weather before proceeding with anything else.

I might have asked this before.
Do you drive it easy most if the time?
I found if I drive easy it starts to feel soft.
If I drive a little more aggressive it feels peppier after a bit.

I drive fairly heavy, and have been for quite some time to recreate the misfires under hard acceleration. Current tank is at 14.4 mpg so yes been driving pretty heavy haha. I still think I have an issue with the wastegate/ignition system/ecu.

I have a buddy with a'12 Eco that hasn't had any of the TSB's performed, was supposed to meet up with him this weekend to drive both trucks around and do some data logging.

I installed SP 534s, which is the 2013+ ecoboost Motorcraft plug. They all came perfectly tapped at .30. I've got a couple hundred miles on them and haven't had any problems. Never had the shudder, though.

I have a 2012 ecoboost with a build date of Jan 2012.

There is only so much we as the end users will be able to do to work around these issues. Plugs is about it. Tuners are a bandaid at best.

The Ecoboost engine (and other engines of similar design) are the push needed to reach critical mass exposing the extremely poor quality of this continent's energy infrastructure and widely varying fuel quality standards. This is easily demonstrated by taking a poorly functioning truck with all of these "issues" believed to be caused from faulty parts/engineering and moving them to an area with a known lower rate of malfunctioning trucks with the same reported issue. Like magic, the truck's issues are likely to improve if not equilibrate.

The mild shudder, and the power loss/condensation issue are all deeply rooted in fuel quality, most notably fuel volatility.

So I've all over the map as far as spark plug goes.
Stock were 38-42
Went to 30 and felt low end response was weaker,no high rpm shudder/misfire.
Back to 34 on gaps...bit rougher idle, shudder on very aggressive rpm runs(no code thrown but you can feel it),but low end seems more alive.
Decided to throw in new plugs gapped to 30...smooth idle,no shudder at high rpm but again low end seems weaker.
This is with same gas from same pumps for months and a 91 MPT tune.
Anybody else feeling anything like this?
I'm tempted to go to 32 on gaps but can that really make much difference?
It's getting a bit old....thank god working on plugs with the EB is a breeze.

Now that It has been a while does anyone have any updates as to any MPG gains after changing the spark plug gap? Not sure if it would affect it at all but just curious.

No noticeable difference for me. Then again it's hard for me to tell because I don't go the same route on a regular basis.
