Yeah time will tell but I'm 1.5 mpg higher after two work commutes. Probably my wishful thinking making me ease up on the gas pedal though. Idle is undoubtedly smoother though.

That is possible, I drive like a grandpa everyday so my driving style hasn't changed. Before, no matter what I did it would not go over 15mpg on my way to work and it was reading 20 this morning.

I am not sure if anyone knows this as I have not seen it mentioned, depending on the method in which you are gapping your plugs, if they are platinum or Iridium type plugs, you can not insert a feeler gauge between the electrode and ground or you will damage the very thin layer of platinum or iridium. There are some specialty tools that can be used to gap the exotic metal plugs.

Default 2012 f150 spark plug change

65,200 miles here is the stock plugs 2012 F150 ecoboost 65,200 miles. Was having misses at hard acceleration and hauling loads. Put in the motor craft SP-534 and runs better than from factory. All the gaps I have listed are from the factory.

Replaced mine at 68,000. Looked to all be gapped correctly. put the new ones at .034.

Checked all the coil boots, everything was in good shape.

The truck just seems to crank way too many times before it starts. Even after changing the plugs. I've seen youtube videos of other EBs that start up as fast as my old 5.0 did.

Not sure where to go next. No codes or anything, idles smooth, no stumble while driving. Fuel eco 16.0 stays pretty consistent. Will drop after long 70+ mph hwy drives.

Has 275/60r20 tires and speedo is corrected with SCTx4. On 87 tune. Took just as long to start prior to the tune install as well.

I would guess 9-10 engine revolutions. My 5.0 was maybe 4-5. Other EBs I've listened to are 5-6 tops.

Anyone know what the best plugs to use are? I have a S&B CAI and waiting on the Livernois programmer...

How do you remove the grey plug on the high pressure fuel pump on the drivers side in back. I can't get it off and I am afraid of breaking it.
