Ok so ii just figured out that it's best to just have it done. I attempted it got it done but it just didn't look good looked like is was dirty between the glass and tint so I did it again same outcome I cleans the glass with glass cleaner before I started. So tomorrow I am paying to have it done I don't care how much it cost lol. No matter what anyone says its not worth trying to tint your windows yourself!!!! I wasted my money trying! I even to the window out the door and brought it inside my garage to do it!

sorry you guys had bad luck tinting. a year ago i couldn't tint for crap, now that's what i do for a living. i have learned A LOT to say the least. it's not for the impatient person i assure you. i am a perfectionist. i just tinted my new 2012 F150 today and it looks killer. if you are paying to have it done, i recommend paying a little more and getting ceramic tint, you will be surprised at the difference in heat reduction. let me know if i can help in any way...

If you were in Vegas, I would suggest Eco Tint. Those guys are awesome! I had my done 15% around all windows and a full sheet of Air Blu on the windshield to reduce the heat from the sun and it has performed great. Only cost me $249 and it was well worth it. The windshield alone was worth it.

Thats a heck of a lot cheaper than Ziebart around the corner from me. They want $150 just to do the drivers and passengers windows.

$50 isnt bad, but ask them if they use a dyed film or metallized? dyed film will turn purple in about a year and you will be redoing it. if it's metallized or "nano" film you will be ok. we charge $70 for 2 doors to do the "nano" film and we won't even sell the dyed film. basically a "nano" film is both metallized and dyed, but there isn't enough dye in it to fade or change colors.

a couple hours seems like a very long time to do 2 doors. we do them every day and can knock out 2 doors in less than 15 minutes. maybe he's backed up or something? just would hate for you to leave your truck there that long and not need to. we do use a computer program to cut our film so we don't cut by hand. but even still, wouldn't take longer than 30 minutes to do it by hand.
