Dd the straight edge and don't seem wrapped. Just thinking if would be wise to get valve job since heads off and truck has 141,000. Any advice. I know prob good idea but I would have to wait at least a month and no vehicle at all. Need money lol.

It's always the best idea to send it to the machine shop and have them check it and do what's needed it will be worth the wait and money in the end

Just an update. I've got $1100 into this now. Got all tore down and cleaned up and wire brushed what I could and painted. Heads done new water pump new radiator new lower manifold new gaskets and bolts new thermostat new coolant temp sensor (broke other one lol) have the oil and filter and antifreeze. NOW when the freaking head gaskets get here I can't start rebuilding. Lol........ If I had extra would've got headers and better cam lol. Funds not there for tht.... So now when it does fire up again it will be a new animal. Running and looking diff..... When taking it apart I found only half of the imrc butterflies were opening. Te other side was disconnected. Due to bushings old and broke and fell out..........So been since the 5 of May my trucks been down. I figure another week and be back on the road FINALLY!!!!! ............ Then I'll post some new pics. See what y'all think good or bad lol.
