lol. It's an advantage living 10-15 minutes from summit racing. They do have some very good deals in the clearance section. That's my first stop every time I go there lol.

Yea, you'll like that zinc coating living in Ohio. They won't rust up as much. I'm doing the same this time. Not sure if I'm going with the zinc yet, there's another option, - but I'll be rust proofing my caliper pistons for sure. That damn stuff can rust over night in the winter here!

I don't know if using steel pistons or not, I've used those in my last caliper set and rust was the only downfall. But I was using untreated rotors as well and the combo made all that worse. The corrosion worked it's way in under the outer piston seal passenger side which caused them to stick. The corrosion flaked off and compromised the pistons from working properly. The pistons have two seals. The outer and the inner. The inner sits into a machined grove inside the cylinder. There's a space between the outer and inner and that's where they jammed. It was the groove that outer seal locks into that trapped salt water and were the corrosion began. The outer seal protects against contaminants from entering the chamber or piston cylinder. The inner seal holds back the brake fluid.

Anyway, that's what's happened to my set.

EDIT: I should mention, what I mean by jam. The caliper on the right wouldn't retract fully. The truck pulled to the right. At the time, I thought it was an alignment issue so I let it go. Was ready for new tires in a bit, so.... The Ceramic pads wore down, the truck no longer pulled to the right. I hadn't put all that together until just recently while going over my brakes lol. But yea, Rust = Not Good!

So seal that outer seal w/dielectric IF you use steel pistons.

Default It's been a while

Its been awhile. Making plans for wedding and getting things in order. I did however order some 2" wheels spacers or adapters which where u like to call em. They are hub centric. My question is. What is the best tourqe for them?? Thanks in advanced. I've done a lot more to my truck as well. Haven't had a chance to get pics on here as if yet. But I'm working on it.
