All These ports I am finding. Wish they had a guide to tell ya what they are all for lol.

Ok any tips or tricks to taking the egr off to clean it??? 4.2L V6.

 

Guess not. Hmm guess ill wing it LOLOLOL.

 

Take out bolts be careful not to break a gasket if u don't have a replacement and don't lose any bolts also use a toothbrush to clean the little books and crannies

 

Pretty much how we all do it lol I'm yanking the same parts on Sunday trying to find easy peasy stuff to do that will clean up the motor and make it run better....

 

Same here today is the day to replace the plenum gasket and goin clean egr iac check vac lines change oil and antifreeze air filter clean throttle body change imrc bushings and clean anything else I think of along the way. Lol. Should be fun day working on truck LMAO.

 

Plenum gasket? Never heard of that and what is imrcbushings

 

Imrc= intake manifold runner control.

Upper plenum gasket is something like a manifold gasket. The isolator bolts loosen up and it cause the CEL TO come on. V6 4.2L is known for this.

 

Well found out it was a FREAKING VAC LEAK. so replaced hose and waiting to see if that cures te codes.
