Seems like an easy fix here's hoping lol ya I have the big v8 so I don't know a hole lot about what to check on it I figure I'll just keep going little by little deeper and deeper every time I tune up I got a bit deeper I swear I keep doing it this way then I'll be rebuilding the entire motor before it hits 250,000, it's at 170,000 now

Well it was an easy fix when to auto zone got me a foot of rubber hose cut it to fit and truck running like a top now. Been searching for vac leak couldn't find it till started tearing done to take upper plenum off then BAM seen it lol big ole hole on bottom side of hose.

So the plenum wasn't leaking?

Nope it was the vac line coming off the throttle body goin down to the PCV valve. Was in too easy get to but didn't see hole well crack was in bottom of hose.

I was just wondering because my dad had one leaking on his 5.4 but it was in the back and I knew it was vacuum right away and it started acting up when I was driving it

I been trying to find a leak for the last 7 months lol. That's why thought it was plenum gasket couldn't find one anywhere lol.

Oh a good way to find them is to use starting fluid and let the truck idle
