Other than the turbo and axle we have had zero problems. And I would agree that cummins is the best even ford uses them in there severe duty rigs. LOL I was just keeping it modest cause I usually start a full on rioting debate about psd and ctd. My next truck will be an 07-09 mega or quad cab haven't decided yet 4x4 with the 6 speed  and not to mention dodge is the only one that offers the manual anymore!!!!!!!

Edit: just looked at your pics I'm a sooner till I die!!!!!!!!!
I know what you meant, just joking about how the MPG alone is why it's "necessary." Funny how these emissions items just throw junk in the combustion chambers and turbos, ain't it? Because that's better than slightly higher exhaust emissions. And 30-50% lower fuel economy is somehow better for the environment . . . hmm!

I think all trucks have their strong suits, so I'm fine with all 3. I think gas burning Dodges are piles of ****, but I love Cummins. I still don't trust the rest of a Dodge truck, but the motor makes up for a lot. I have a buddy with an 04, quad cab, 6-speed, 4x4, short box, white, cloth seats, only power windows/locks/mirrors - perfect layout and exactly how I'd want mine. (His dad's got a 98 and his brother has a 2004.5, all three white 5.9s haha) Maybe a mega cab (if you can find one), cause quad cabs are basically extended cabs with their own door handles, but that's it.

I love that Dodge trucks are still easy to find/buy with 4x4 shifter on the floor and a manual. Chevy manuals are like unicorns and stopped a while ago. Ford stopped in 2010. So I love how Dodges are set up.

We're in a different conference now, so I'll be nice to ya

Hahaha I got yah! And I like all three to, I just hate people that are psd only cummins suck! Or visa versa. A 6 speed and a manual tcase is the best setup hands down. I can't wait to get a diesel. I wish it was like semis were you could pick whatever motor/trans combo you want.

Totally feel you on the fan base cause most of it is punk kids. My dad's 6.7 has nothing wrong with the truck. Everyone says the truck falls apart around the motor but my dad's is as tight as day one. I think most of the problems are operator caused. I think what your referring to is all the 2nd and early 3rd gens. Most on the rode today have zero problems. My uncles got 393k and the truck is still solid.

The red one is the one I'm talking about. And it's at 372k not 393k and my dad's is right at 193k. Both will start -20 no problems and the body's are as solid as my truck.

Yeah, fanboy/cronism is pretty retarded and better left for the 12 year olds talking about their dad's/neighbor's/internet friend's trucks.

That's pretty much my opinion too. Kinda funny how it seems that all the other components on a Cummins are more reliable than the same exact parts on a gasser. Completely illogical, but that's how my perception has shaped.

Still think a 24V 5.9 mated to a ZF6 with the rest being Ford truck wrapped in Dodge shell (think they look better) would be perfect.

LOL, where did that come from? Why does it need to be a zf6? What's wrong with the nv5600? I see no problems with the hemis, besides the double spark plugs they are one of the baddest motors for the size and sound incredible straight piped.

I just like the ZF6 better, for no particular reason other than I think they're a bit stronger (no factual backing at all) Nothing wrong with the NV5600.

I think all Chrysler products (except those that are Cummins equipped) are pieces of crap. And I work at a massive used dealership, so I have basis for my opinion haha. And honestly, sooo many almost brand new Cummins have the CEL on. Like 2-50k miles and the CEL is on allll the time.

Yeah the cel was one most of the time before we got my dad's deleted. But the cel is on in my truck to. Lol that doesn't really mean anything. And me and my family have had them all and have broken all of them an also had all of them treat us good. And honestly we have had the worst of luck with ford. My dad had to talk me into buying my ford if there was a dodge (hemi only which is 04+ I believe?) or a Chevy for the same price an options and my ford I would have picked either of them before my truck. But now it would have taken me hrs and hrs of stressful deliberating between the Chevy and ford. I would be very torn and probably regret the decision no matter what decision I made. But my ford has made me a believer in ford before none of my family would buy a ford but now they will consider fords when looking for vehicles. And people say dodges trannys are junk but mine along with more than half this forum has a new/rebuilt/reman tranny so a kettle calling the pot black.
