Thinking v2
I'm in Iowa this week. I found all the good Ford electric radiator fans at junkyards within a 90 minute drive, but as typical, only one of them has responded to my emails from the weekend so far (and not the one I really want to hear from). I'm so tired of having to cajole people into selling me things!
That's exactly what I did, after finding absolutely nothing at the area's u-pulls.
I called the one I really want to hear back from. The guy sounded annoyed, wasn't interested in me giving him the stock numbers, asked me to wait for Bonnie (or whoever TF he said) to get in tomorrow morning and look for my quote request.
Must be a ton of money in this game, that nobody needs to make a sale.

Oh dude.... there's sooooo much money in scrapping cars. You figure, by just selling the converters they've made the money they paid for the car. Everything else is gold.
Hell, the yard that I frequent even sells the fuel and antifreeze out of the cars. I think you're nuts to use that $4!t, but people buy it.

Still... so much money you can afford not to do business? My company makes several orders of magnitude more money than any yard, and we don't ignore customers. Come to think of it, neither did the smallest company I ever worked for (6 ppl, inc. the owner).
