Our master bath toilet freezes anytime the temps get in the single digits or negative. Only thing I can think of is the pipes run down an exterior wall that gets hit with the wind the most. Never had burst tho! Wish I could put some insulation around the pipe, it's the only one that will freeze like that. Well except for last year when we had a week of sub zero temps, all the toilets froze for most of a day... finally got them thawed out with no burst pipes luckily... kept water running after that lol. But yeah pain in the butt our master freezes so easily. Can't really keep that water running well I could keep the pump running, but that would be a ton of water running
How would a heat tape work on that wall line 2100?
Brew....you know that when it rains (snows or freezes) it pours. Glad you have the stuff available when this stuff hits.
The lines to our washer and laundry sink would freeze up with long cold spells. When I installed cabinets above, I opened up the wall, added pipe insulation, and haven't had a problem since.
Yeah if we were ever going to open up the wall I'd add insulation. I added it everywhere I can reach in our house (slab foundation). Just need it to last till summer 2020 which is when we plan to move back to southern Indiana. Although I've been trying to convince her to move to Alaska for a year or two!

Hmm hadn't seen that before. I don't think I'd be able to do much with it tho. From the floor it goes straight down (the exterior wall) and then turns into the garage and into the plumbing. It's insulated in the garage but not the exterior wall. I may regret this but so far (5yrs in the house) a pipe has never busted. Hoping I don't insulate the pipe because it's being replaced lol. Just another year and a half lol
I'm ashamed to admit, out low was like 25 last night.....
I had a similar issue on the main board in my furnace last year. The home warranty bought a new board for it.... and I actually had my neighbor do the work for me. He gave me the old board, so all I gotta do is replace the relays.... which I bought... and I've got a spare. He bypassed the board so we had heat, but the blower stayed on all the time.
I made the mistake of answering "yes" to the question "do you have any other sources of heat in the home" when I placed the service request. They took way longer than they should have.
My furnace is a Rheem though, so it's a pretty solid unit.
This is us for the next 7 days.....
