Wow.... I would have thought that would be the culprit. Maybe it is the pump then. Kind of weird you'd have one hose hot, and not the other.... and have it cool OK otherwise? Did you hook up the garden hose to it and get decent flow?

Short video of the flow. Garden hose was hooked up, and this is the hose on the heater core inlet side which is my garden hose flush outlet.
But yeah engine never gets too warm, inlet (hose that says low on it) was burning hot and outlet (high) was luke warm. Will check the hoses when she gets back from work. And see her opinions on the heat.
I'm going to keep an eye on the coolant level and make sure it doesn't still need burped... I followed the proper burping instructions or so I think: fill up reservoir till it holds constantly 1" of coolant above cold fill line, leave cap off, bring engine up to operating temp, squeeze upper hose 20-30x then turn heat on full blast (did this part like 5x) Maintain coolant level. Put cap back on, take for a 10min drive. Will keep an eye for a few days before I dive into a water pump replacement. Heck won't be able to work on it till the weekend anyway.

I should be getting my hoopty back tonight. My Buddy put it back in last night, but it was snowing so bad that I told him we'd hook up tomorrow (which is today) to get it back from him. He says "it works great, but I would plan on getting a new car in the next couple years" LOL. The 4 cylinder CD4E has an inherent problem. The forward planetary has 3 gears on it, which make it wear out faster. The 3.0 has a 4 gear planetary.

Lol well at least he's honest. The wife's has 225xxx so we will see how long we can keep it going.
Mine has 2 hundred and something on it. Same damn planetary has gone bad 3 times now. He put a new one in it again... those 3 gears are not nearly as stable and cause premature wear. Think 3 wheeler vs 4 wheeler maybe? Lol

I'll let you know if I have to replace hers in the 3.0
I've all but decided I am going to start flipping cars. Me and my Wife talked tonight and I think I am going to put the Mustang in a storage garage and start buying mechanic specials and flipping them.

Nice! I'm sure you'd be able to make a good profit. You've got a good knowledge base to get after any vehIcle
