That's good shock swap weather. We have two weeks of 30's by day, 20's at night from Friday..no end to be seen. A little snow in the forecast, nothing substantial. Face the windmill this way AK, I could use another couple of 50's weeks lol

Sounds pretty nice, there, AK. It's 26° now, with the low tonight supposed to be 14°. By Sunday, that will be about the high, with overnight lows in the mid-single digits. Glad I stacked some wood on the porch!

In other news, I just got back from a test drive. No pops, squeaks, rattles, or clanks, so I must've gotten everything back together right and tight. I'm impressed with the Bilsteins. Road manners are improved, but the big difference was sharp transitions which are soaked up really well now, and mild washboard that I now just hear rather than feel. When it starts getting more washboard-y, things start to vibrate a bit, but nowhere near what I had before. It's still definitely a truck-like ride, but more civilized now. The alignment seems to have stayed where it was (I was able to get the UCA bolts back to nearly perfect with the original marks), but I'll probably have it checked regardless. The steering wheel's just a little ****-eyed, but that happened when I replaced the idler arm.
..

Never have liked Monroes on the front of Ford's trucks. Too much side give..

Hope they get here went the weather is warm. And no SNOW. lol
I just swapped my shocks for the same. Gabriel HD on front and monroes on rear. The ride quality and steering is substantially more planted. When I got the truck 4 or 5 months ago, OEM shocks were on it.

It's an amazing overall difference. The best part I got all the shocks brand new locally off a craiglist ad for $65

You can check your alignment real quick with a rim/wheel level and a tape measure.

What would be nice is if the Admins would look at the IP Address of Mr. Four Users and block the damn thing. It's easy as pie.... As an Admin, you can tell the IP where each post comes from. I scribbled on it, as to not show the complete IP....
