On board steals it. If you have a PCI-E card, then it shouldn't be stealing ram. So yeah, probably a bad stick - unless your MB only supports 12GB total? My ASUS board only allows 16 on my DT (I need to upgrade too, lol).

My last resort before dumping $$$ is next time I'm visiting my parents they have a local shop that does diagnosis for free... just have to be down there for a few days as they are usually busy
Yes, I just let that stuff sit in there for 30 minutes, and all kinds of deposits came out of it.

Yea it's a G-Force 9600 GSO card.

Yea, I'm probably hanging up DT's for good now. Just have to get a good lap top. I run 2 sometimes 3 24" NEC's. Thunderbolt compatible monitors. So I need something good.

I think I am going to run a NUC with NAS from here on out. I'm pretty much using my DT the same way I'd use a NUC..... so I may as well run a more efficient platform.

Yea , I don't have a use for NUC or NAS so I'm not familiar with the set ups. Well, not as anyway. Still have the old fashion library of movies and netflix or hulu for the rest. Perhaps one day soon, once I realize I'm missing out lol.

Well, a new new vehicle is out of the question. I just can't spend that much on a vehicle, makes me sick actually lol. I don't want to lease anymore so I've been looking at 12-14's, -6seven diesels. Trying to keep it under 35. But Mann, even the new 150 diesels are around 65! Craziness, -didn't pay half that for my truck new lol.

Yeah, I hear you. In 2008, I paid 13 for my 2006 Escape... and I've told myself that never again will I fork over that much for a vehicle. I will pay cash, or only finance for one year from here on out. If I can't pay for it in a year, I don't need it, lol.

Pretty sure I deserve a new truck...I don't deserve paying that much for one lol.

Oh well, I'll have to settle...more important things on the agenda.

Yea, I was thinking of one just a couple years old like you did. But with the trucks, you have to step back even further it seems lol.

You deserve one for sure. That 98 is a thing of beauty though. It will be sad when it leaves your care, I'm sure. They are rock solid trucks if you treat 'em right.

Well it doesn't have the beauty thing going for it anymore...more of a tough look lol. I almost just about gave it away 3 or 4 months back. Glad I didn't.

Yea these will last, but will the next lol.
