This guy here used to run a shop. Not too sure if he still does. But he builds all of his own mufflers and X-pipes. If you want a unique sound, this is your dude. Local myths have him tied to NASCAR systems, but I don't know if the story has any substance.

Other than him, there is a local chain called Master Muffler. I recommend either the one in West Valley (Terry and his son Shane run it - I go here 99% of the time) or the one in downtown Salt Lake. Although it is a chain, they are individually owned and operated.

There have been so many times I've gone to the West Valley location and had them do work which they would not accept money for. Not even a tip. I recommend them to everyone not only because of that, but because they sincerely do good work.

On a side note. It’s been about 10 years since I was here last, but I don’t remember the traffic being this bad. The drivers yes, right up there with SoCal! Lol
Guess why? A lot of these people are FROM California. How do you like our stupid intersections, specifically on 3500 South and Bangerter Highway, and also SR-201 and Bangerter Highway? A lot of this nonsense is exactly why I decided to move out of SLC, lol. That, and a lunatic neighbor....
The Ford dealer across from the Master Muffler is right next to my Buddy's neighborhood (the one that builds transmissions).
Well Thinkers... I never get a day off, lol. My Brother called last night, and is on his way over right now so I can fix his cylinder 6 misfire on his Escape. His has over 200,000 miles on it now, IIRC, so not a bad run for the coils.

I am following the thread where the guy is needing another new seat element for heated seats, when I remembered that I gave my daughter a set of heated seat kits (2) for her truck, that she gave me back when they moved to Alabama. I'm thinking, that I might just throw those into lil Red and give me my final interior mod.
There isn't much we can do to these trucks, other than paint or such, but heated seats wouldn't be a bad add on. I think I might as well do it, as I have them.
I found a power seat base for the passenger side in a 2002 Expy yesterday. I took it out and put it in my shed. I thought about it after I got it, WHY? With a regular cab, the sliding seat is much easier to access things in the back. Oh well, the cost was an 18 pk of Bud, so I wasn't out much. Oh, and I had to pull it. I was there and gone in 5 minutes. lol I love my 18V Ryobi impact gun. I wish they would of had these back in the 70's when I was so into racing. At least one that someone could afford that was battery powered.
I'm going to go back Monday and pull the power pedals assembly and the front calipers and rotors. They are like new, and of course, the upgrade for our 150's. I doubt I'll install the pedals, but I want to grab them before the Expy goes to the crusher. The brake upgrade, probably lil Red. The calipers are still shiny and clean painted. According to the paperwork in the door pocket, 2028 miles ago they were replaced. (The Expy was hit in the butt by a dump truck. Nothing behind the front doors in worth anything. Started out as an Expy, ended up a Bronco II sized truck---lol)
