Once the first part comes down it is wide open.

I threw that question on their FB page, asking if they had pads on their tanks or if it was force air warmed. We'll find out soon. LOL
It's one complete solid sheet. The material is, well hard to tell but it looks like a plastic of some kind. Flexible, but not by hand. It's not flat, lumpy more so lol. Looks like it's fastened with self tapping hex heads. They aren't that small, 1/2" hex maybe.
Thanks, yea I didn't join the site yet. I should and will eventually. Not FB, but they have an owners site. The site is much better IMO. I'm betting they don't but still, I could swear I've seen colored diagram showing pad placement. Grand Design is known best for their customer service, second to none is impression I've gotten. But that wasn't the reason I went with them. It was plus. I researched R value and build solely before anything else.

This trailer has three 4" ducts feeding the under belly and just two 3" ducts feeding the living quarters. All the duct work was poorly connected right at the furnace. Leaked terribly and had to fix that. The furnace is stuffed under a hutch. You could warm left overs up in the drawers. Yea, it leaked bad lol. A little metal fab and 3M aluminum tape repaired it nicely.

I'll be dumping the tanks this morning, they are full lol. This will be only the second time I've done this. First time it went well, very clean process actually, I didn't get anything on me lol. Anyway, if there's ice in the tanks, I may have my hands full.

Brew- just remember- if you start to have dump problems, put on safety goggles and more importantly, keep your mouth shut!

LOL, I sort of have a built in proximity sensor, but that goes as soon as pop the lid. A dump helmet might be an option. Nah, it should go alright if I didn't just jinx myself. I don't have to pull the thing anywhere. I tapped the sewer about 150' away. I connect the pump to line before opening anything up. The pump grinds, then shoves everything through a 3/4" hose to the sewer. Quick too! 100 gal in 6 minutes, but I rinse them out once, back flush the black tank. Simple operation, there hasn't been an so much as an odor...yet! Guess my stuff don't stink haha. I'll let you know though since you seem to have an interest lol, -hey you want to give me hand Bear ?

Yea, it snowed again last night. I guess it's not good to have more that 6" of snow on the roof or over 2" in ice. There's more than that up there. Would you like to shovel the roof or opt for the shii job? Or say the heck with that and do some ice fishing?

-According to the company of your trailer, here is what they said about the silicone pads.

No

Grand Design RV Good morning Bill. Thank you for reaching out. There is a dedicated heat duct to the underbelly to help with the tanks.

Great, thanks AK. This one has 3 dedicated 4" heat ducts into the underbelly. Unless it's 3 into one. Doesn't matter, he answered the question. Yea, looks like I'll be upgrading. This is good, just needed a good reason to pull the belly pan..I have it. Once it warms up.

Okay, I better get to work, it's already noon here. I was kinda waiting for my mood ring to turn a certain color.

Heres the only hand i can give right now!
Heres one for y'all- the company just spent an untold amt. of money to have GE come in and rebuild our #13 steam turbine. When they started up,the hydraulic overspeed unit puked hydraulic oil into the turbine oil return tray.
Now we (our maintenance) is tearing the overspeed back down this weekend and fixing the leaks!-
The cost of the turbine oil alone will set your hair on fire! But ... they pay us well for it!- ( then bitch about maintenance costs )

Thanks Brew! I've been doing a lot of brushing up on my stuff the past couple days. Went and got a new (used) laptop today. I normally use my Chromebook or phone - and neiter of those are very handy in networking, LOL. I was about to just go get a new one, and I ran across a gently used Toshiba Satelite with 10 on it - and I am going to make it a dual boot machine with 7. Not a bad little unit for 120 bucks.

I am sure work will get me a brandy new one, but for now I need something to get going. This is a big swing for me. Probably going to see about getting Cisco certified.

I want this sooo bad. I might do it middle of January for my wife's birthday if it's still around. Seriously the cleanest one I've seen in a while!

Drill.....it does look nice. I did notice one thing interesting though. If you put in the serial number, you will find that this unit was for sale by Thorton VW at 149007. Now at 149882 makes me wonder what went on. Did someone buy it and then almost immediately trade it, or did it not sell on the VW lot and it went to the auction, where this place in Commerce City bought it? It also has a 2014 online sale. I don't have an account to check it, but a CarFax would be fairly important in this case I think.

Did they pull the studs on the tires, or were they drilled again to accept studs? It looks weird in the picture with the drill mark on the stud hole. LOL It is definitely clean looking inside and out.
