I'd drive that thing! It is pretty much THE icon of this forum.... it is the alpha male of 97-03 F150's.

Well, maybe I'll take it with me for testy shot and a paint job.

I gave this kid a chance for a good deal, it's mechanically sound, we'll see how he does. I'm not sure what he meant by "end of the week"...tomorrow or next week? Prob next week.

This is the style I went with. I was going to go 09-14 style, but a lot of guys already have those, so, I went with the newest, so the paint can be seen thru the F of the emblem.
Now that one I like, I didn't see the pic when I read it the first time.

I really do too, that is why I went with the 2015 and up badges. I really like the 09-14 ones also, but they are all sort of angled, and these are straight up and down, which I like a bit better. They make an overlay for these that changes the color and the insert color (Lariat lettering).

I talked to a neighbor a few weeks ago about these, and he works for a plastic place that has a nice CNC machine for cutting out things in plastic. He said he could take the two emblems and cut a 3/16 inch think or 1/4 inch white plastic to match the emblems. I would then add 4 LED's (RGB style) and hook the lights to the parks, that way the side markers would illuminate when the lights were on. It would be like the side light they require in Europe. Kind of kewlish. lol I have a blue oval t/gate emblem, but can't use it here in Alaska. It is blue. We can't use blue because our volunteer fire departments use blue was their emergency light color.
