AK, to go even FURTHER, that part "F7CC" crosses to a 97 Escort. Definitely not a piece that came with this thing. Somebody needs an ***** kicking.

Tell me about it. I spent over an hour last night, digging thru all my old parts books, and that damn thing, just doesn't seem to show up in 06. I'm sure it does, but it doesn't. Your number crossed directly to the F7CZ (Escort part number). You are correct on the Escort part. When you go to the fitment guide, it doesn't show any 06 F series or Expy, or Navigator fitting this part.

Thank you very much for your research AK. That one for a Super Duty was also the only one I could find. Strangely enough, that also crosses to an Escort.

 

This is becoming a weird morning already. I sold my leather seats and console that were in lil Red, and had another guy come by and make me an offer on my truck. It was a super great offer. I think he wants it for his boy. The kid wouldn't shut up about it all the while they were here.

I'm leaning to not selling it. I've grown fond of this lil truck and don't need the extra money right now, so selling isn't any kind of priority or need. Tis' a puzzlement. I'm thinking that I want to see this thru to completion and see how well or how bad it actually comes out. Damn. My morning was going so well. I woke up and was still here. Now this. lol

 

Contemplation is exercise for the mind! Thinking, after all, is what started this great thread in the first place! Being on the right side of the dirt is a definite plus!

I turned down his offer today. He called back an hour later and asked what it would take to buy it. He said his son wanted it so bad. I told him I was keeping it. I expect to hear back again from him tonight. Watch. lol

Anyways, today I put in the 2 new door lock actuators, and now they work correctly. I pulled the rear bumper and straightened it. It's about 95% right, but has a small ding on the right side still. I can live with the bumper for now. Maybe if I go to the valley, I'll stop by Knik Towing. They have 3 bumpers for the flare sides in chrome for my truck. We'll see. Reinstall was quite simple, thanks to the heavy trailer class 5 hitch. I just sat the bumper on the hitch, put on the nuts, and tightened the nuts. Perfect mount and fit. It looks so much better and almost completely straighten out. I like how it came out.

I also fixed the locks where the PO installed them and had two of the rods backwards or loose on the drivers side. They work correctly now and all is well there. It's gotten windy as hell out this afternoon, so I've put off the shocks. I tried to loosen them, but they were extremely tight and hard to access the tops. I'll use my dremil saw and cut the tops off under the frame. Maybe tomorrow if this wind will stop.
