I put in the plug in the door, perfect match. That makes me only have the blower motor that I'm going to replace. I bought a Motorcraft today, in an eBay auction (not buy it now), and got it for 17.66 plus 9.99 shipping. $28.00 for a new MM847 motor is not bad. Oh yes, I also want to replace the windshield, but that get's farmed out. lol

I haven't put the dash back together yet for 2 reasons. I am waiting for some adapter plugs to add to my Android head. I only want to disassemble the dash one time, so I'll wait until Tuesday, when they are due to arrive, to put it back together. I'm adding my GPS antenna and some of the wiring and it's going to set in a different location, so with the center top off, it makes it easy to lay the wiring out and make it secure. Second reason, I was being lazy and have a summer cold.

Having that dash apart sure makes for ease of wiring. I know I cleaned up all my audio stuff while I had mine apart.

Yeppers. Removing those 4 lousy screws from the upper cluster panel, gives you full access to the wiring and all the stuff behind the radio. It makes it so much easier. Now if I could just get something to kick me in the azz so I would complete my project and just drive the turd. lol

I'm just adding some stuff to the android head, and am waiting for an OTC cable so that my old S4 Samsung can become a storage port for my music and stuff. I also have some videos that will play on the head, once the cable gets here. I don't want to tie up the Bluetooth so I'm wiring the phone to a 3.7v adapter, so it has constant, controlled battery charge. Then I add the port to port cable and I'm good to go.

I used up all my other cables and connectors on a friends car 2 weeks ago. We put in an android head, added an amp, split his speakers to go to 8, etc. His sounds fairly good. I liked the way I could add the extra memory (from 16GB to 504GB with some 64 and 128 flash drives. All the music is on the 128GB drive, and also 16 movies. It works great. So now I had to restock my supply of misc cables so I can finish the truck. This is the same combination I was going to use with a Nexus 7 tablet designed radio/GPS. I went away from that design when I got the gift card 2 Xmas's ago and bought the android head. Now I'm going to add it to my radio and have everything at fingers reach.

If I end up driving lil Red a lot, I will go ahead and add a SIM card and add it to the phone bill. It is only $18 a month to add another line, but it uses my data plan, so make me hesitant. We'll see on that part. Old S3 and up android phones make it easy to turn these radios into much better units. Think of it as a pair of computers working together, like a Raspberry Pi and an Arduino.

Dang. This talk reminds me that I still haven't pulled the Kenwood deck out of my Expedition. It needs to be in the Mustang now.

I want my.... I want my mp3. (to the tune of Dire Straits "Money for Nothing".
