Some actually see putting 6 boxes into.and out of a cart, then car, a cart is a hassle and you look "so-pro & manly" to have a case of oil on your garage shelf. I have Irish, Scotch and German. I am thrifty, cheap, and logical. Buy 6 individuals.

Better to go with a spacer...since most are under 4" now.

Or with a remote set up... Hayden makes a better kit than the one Summit carries. Think the Hayden kit runs about $90, have your local 3rd part shop make the hoses for yuh. Although the Super Duty isn't bad to swap out, you're still on your back doing it. The remote on the 150 is so much easier in the fender well....specially with old bones and joints.....hate to crack hip changing the damn oil...

Ok..Yes yes yes on all points. (Hope the future skid plate will not add a huge hassle.)

BUT, I still hope for a taller filter.

EDIT: I want the extra media a taller filter affords. They are more efficient due to less back pressure pushing borderline small particles through, and can even squeak the flow up a very minor percentage.

Ohio Lariet posted a link. Decent site. I cannot locate the 10 min vid I just saw on it. Real testing. A Wix won, bang for buck. White had a Wix up there, and two that looked the same, inside.

O'Reilley's yesterday for Rain-X windshield washer fluid. Sure got high a few months back. $1 off, $4.79? Got two and a $1.99 Hot Wheel for a pal's 5 yr old at the shop. $5 credit and my $14 bill somehow became $7. Cool.

Maybe I was a little harsh on the K&N. It's not a bad filter.... just expected a little more for the money. It's Chinese made. It feels the heaviest, and the can feels the thickest I've opened so far.

Well I'm not paying $26 for a.Purple.People.Eater.
Is Wix-Something the informal winner?
What're 2&3, or are they tied? That's fine if they're.
Simplify.for an old man, please. I didn't realize that as thorough as White was, that I'd need to take so many notes. 😆
EDIT: I have sacrificial oil in there now, since the used engine went in. Probably only a very few hundred on it. It's new filter time is coming up in a very few weeks, I suspect.

For the price, so far, the Purolator/Auto Extra (same filter internally) are the best bag for the buck, and they are made by Wix and rebranded. You get great quality for the price. The Purolator is currently under 3 dollars on Amazon.

https://amzn.to/3WccVT6

The Wix made filters, IMO, are the best quality. They do filter at a larger micron rating than other filters, but the flow is better than other filters as a result. We've found that oil flow is crucial with modular motors.

My goal was to find the best bang for the buck.... and so far, these are my personal feelings based on my research.

21 microns, but great flow, 11-13.gpm. But the bypass opens at 22 psi, so, you'd expect flow to not be impeded much. Haven't voiced it, but parallel filters have been an interest.

Rigs do 20 psi a lot. 40 under rpm & load. Buying the lower sensor at 80 psi, vs the one at 100, indicates high rpm street noobs, but also, that we except to see at least half of 80-100, and not.always because we woke up near AKDoggie in the winter. I'm a low rpm cruiser w.eco gears AND taller tires, 3.01:1 equivalent, but do hit 4000+ during some on ramps. High flow stirs things up, and we now recirculate that.

Just did the plugs and boots on a 3.5 Ecoboost. Way easier than the modulars. Well... I did 5 of 6. The cylinder one coil has the threaded insert spinning. Any tips on getting those out? LOL.
