Incoming is to high for residential jp, should prob call Santee Cooper or whomever you use and have reduce the hot leg in the transformer.

Check it with another meter?
Maybe borrow a Fluke meter?

I only see one reading. Other leg? Neutral to Gnd, IFF you have that. My '51 uses a neutral only. DVMs are great, but for non-static readings, a cheap VOM can sometimes give better clues. A needle swings smoothly, or jerkily, or vibrates at times, or mixes these. UnPlug everything else, also. Some panels have enough breakers to almost do that for you.

BUT 129 Vac is an issue none of this can explain. Definitely unplug costly sensitive things. Pwr was dirty in the old days, and many used an isolation transformer to kill spikes.

It's Discovery, correct. His first live Q&A yesterday was awesome. I love his theories on business in general - not just automotive work.
