I really need to get this door open though, and it turns out that is the side that was still good. Might go throw that one back on to get 'er going again.

What's that bump-out on the bottom..mating surface. Referring to the piece that broke. Is there a slot there that it's suppose to slide in or match up with?

 

It's flat. No place to clock it in there. I think I'm going to ask them to cancel it and call that guy over. These damn cables are ready to make me go nuts. I'm guessing the SOB'n mismatched springs are causing it.


EDIT: Just cancelled the order. Should've just had Jose's come to start with.

I recall when I hired it out the one time, the wife saying the guy wasn't there long replacing the spring or springs. That was a newer house/door at the time though, shouldn't of snapped.

That was 20 years ago. So they're both old like me now lol. The springs were like yours though...across the top and dangerous if not careful.
