Looks great!

Yeah, the Mega's are bigger.

LOL, yeah. They do still sell the other skinny clamps though. Kind of pointless IMO.

On my way to work today, I gave it the beans getting on the freeway. After I returned to a coast, a noise and vibration from hell set in. I needed to be to work, so I just took it home and drove the Escape to work. Can't tell just what the heck is going on. Noise seems to be coming from the pinion area. I noticed it was squeaking in reverse the other day, like a u-joint would do. I'll post a vid in a second. Carnage.

Said video: It's shaky, and windy.... but its all I got.

Unfortunately, that's all I got for now. I could make 20 threads on it though.... seems to the fad lately, lol.

I am thinking it is a u-joint or pinion bearing, just based off the few miles I drove it.

Well it would of helped if I read your post vs just watching the video lol. That's what happens when I'm multi tasking sometimes, sorry about that white.

But, that does sound like a u-joint. Cuz I recall the same noise from a 97, -guy I use to work with. His actually had broken and lost a piece of it. Made that same sort of scraping noise. It was the rear joint. The truck was still drivable though.

LOL, no worries. I am pretty certain as well about the issue being a u-joint. The noise sounds like a needle bearing type sound (if that makes sense), and it's a higher pitch squeal than the pinion bearings I've heard. The vibration on acceleration is another thing that says u-joint to me.

I put Precision U-Joints in it about 5 years ago (Precision 447's if I recall correctly). Should have got Spicer in hindsight.

I hate being at work, knowing I've got that thing ailing at home.

Hard to believe I'm still using the factory original joints. Btw, how did your hangers look ? Yep, your going to be watching the clock all day now lol.
