That's a nice vintage piece, Whitey. The Pioneers, JVC's, and Sansuis of that era are probably bringing some coin as well. I have a Kenwood AVR from 1993 that I dusted off and put in the living room cabinet with a Chromecast Audio, but the thing keeps going into protection mode even at idle. I'm going to pull it out, take off the cover, and hit it with some air. Hopefully blowing out the cobwebs will fix it. If not, I'll likely hit up a pawn shop for something else, or just buy little amp like one of these: https://www.aiyima.com/collections/power-amplfiier I've seen some really great audiophile-level reviews of these things.
.... and Yamaha's from that era were pretty good (and expensive). I bought my first receiver in 1978.. Yamaha CR1020. Think I worked a whole year part time making $2.80 an hour to afford that. I wanted the beast... Yamaha CR2020... But I'd still be paying for that today
A lot of the stereo's in that era were really stout. I know my 2250B needs some lights replaced (LED upgrade), and at least one of the POT's needs replaced... probably a double POT as I recall.
It's funny because my Grandparents home was broke into, and this was attempted to be stolen. It had been moved, but I'm guessing it was so heavy that they left it behind. After that, my Grandpa engraved his DL number into it, so that is a "cosmetic imperfection" on mine - not that it's for sale or anything.
So.... here it is, box and lid. Gonna try and print it tonight and see how it does! My friend helped me out on this one... we completely scrapped my original design.
