Oh, and for you Android geeks: Does any of you know exactly what the heck that "X" icon is, and how I can get rid of it? I've tracked it down to have something to do with Accessibility settings, but can't make the friggin' thing disappear (only fade to transparency).
EDIT: It is, indeed the "Accessibility Button," as these are the settings I used to make it small and fade away when not "in use." I want it gone altogether, though.

On mine, I can go to settings, then accessibility. There are three buttons up too for add to home screen, or remove if you've added it.
Edit.... mine has changed since the latest update. I have to add it to the home screen, then press and hold the icon (on the home screen) and select remove.

Unfortunately, all that press-and-hold does is allow me to move it around the screen. I can partially hide it in the edge, but at this stage I've not found a spot it can reside and not get in the way at some point. I tried to drag it to another screen, and it's not having any of that, either. BTW, I can add and remove accessibility feature icons right next to this one. Very strange.
Yeah, except this thing is brand new. I got it nine days ago. I'm sure it's due to something I've installed, but I removed the few things I added after the data xfer, and it's still there.
Now my poor Wife is positive for Covid. Just me and my oldest are standing still... and we are the two that were vax'd. So, take it for what it's worth. I can see both sides of the road on that.
